  • ANGPTL4 is processed in a tissue- and species-specific manner. [1]
  • FIAF is predominantly expressed in adipose tissue and is strongly up-regulated by fasting in white adipose tissue and liver. [2]
  • Fiaf is a circulating lipoprotein lipase inhibitor and its suppression is essential for the microbiota-induced deposition of triglycerides in adipocytes. [3]
  • Expression of ANGPTL4 is directly regulated by members of the PPAR family of transcription factors. [1]
