General information

  • MEP is a lysosomal Man- 6-P-containing protease, identical to cathepsin L. [1]
  • Function: Cathepsins B, L and S are ubiquitously expressed in tissues and perform general household functions in protein turnover, although they participate in antigen or major histocompatibility complex (MHC)II invariant chain processing. [2]
