General information

  • UNC5H or DCC, when expressed in the absence of netrin-1, can induce cell death, whereas the presence of netrin-1 is sufficient for blocking this proapoptotic activity. [1]
  • Activation of the slit receptor Robo silences the attractive effect of netrin-1, but not its growth-stimulatory effect, through direct binding of the cytoplasmic domain of Robo to that of the netrin receptor DCC. [2]
  • Netrin-1 and Slit-2 regulate and direct neurite growth of ventral midbrain dopaminergic neurons. [3]
  • Netrin-1 expression is important in regulating Cripto-1-dependent invasion and migration of mammary epithelial cells. [4]
  • Netrin-1 and Slit2 function as an attractant and a repellent for dopamine neurite outgrowth. [5]
  • Netrin-1 inhibits leukocyte migration. [6]
