General information

  • LXA4 and B4 can contribute to the immunosuppression via inhibition of LTB4 generation, and the inhibition of LTB4 by lipoxins in neutrophils could have an important regulatory role in inflammation. [1]
  • LXB4 analogs inhibit rapid transformation and retain bioactivity with both monocytes and neutrophils. [2]
  • LXA4 and LXB4 display selective actions with human neutrophils and these eicosanoids possess unique profiles of action which may regulate neutrophil function during inflammation. [3]
  • LXA4 and LXB4 are both potent stimulants for migration and adherence of human monocytes. [4]
