This phenotype is pathologic
  • Phaeochromocytomas are catecholamine-secreting tumours that can present with hypertension and are benign in ~90% of cases. Phaeochromocytomas usually arise within the adrenal medulla, but develop in extra-adrenal sympathetic ganglia ~10% of the time. [1]
