This phenotype is pathologic
  • Hyperprolactinemia is a condition of elevated serum prolactin. Any process interfering with dopamine synthesis, its transport to the pituitary gland, or its action at the level of lactotroph dopamine receptors can cause hyperprolactinemia. [1]
