  • more activity (high ligand concentration, overexpression) of Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1
    in placenta
    • Increased levels of soluble VEGFR1 variant (sFlt1) in the placenta and reduced levels of PlGF predict the subsequent development of preeclampsia. [2]
