General information

  • Expressed in stimulated liver endothelial cells and stimulated human aortic endothelial cells. [1]
  • Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) express CD40, which activates nuclear factor kappaB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and up-regulates chemokine secretion. [2]
  • CD40 is expressed in the cells surrounding the small blood vessels of human endometrium and myometrium. [3]
