General information

  • Each α subunit binds cytokine with low affinity (KD = 0.2–100 nM) but the presence of βc converts this to high affinity (KD = 100 pM) causing dimerization of both subunits and receptor activation [1]
  • Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta chain. The beta chain is common to the IL3, IL5 and GM-CSF receptors. [2]
  • Heterodimer of GM-CSFRalpha and human CSF2RB. The beta chain is common to the IL3, IL5 and GM-CSF receptors.
