General information

  • The laminin receptor is a 65-70kDa protein that mediates movement of tumor and inflammatory cells, and is responsible for adhesion of normal cells to laminin-containing matrices. [1]
  • Implicated in laminin-induced tumor cell attachment and migration, angiogenesis, growth, invasion and metastasis. [2]
  • Cell contact expression inhibition and p53-dependent down-regulation of the laminin receptor have been reported. [2]
  • 67 kDa laminin receptor expression is decreased during cell differentiation. [2]
