Details for receptor: CMKLR1

EndoNet ID: ENR01090

To link to the content of EndoNet use the EndoNet ID that is given on the detail pages in the format ENX0000, where X is a place holder for the type of the component (e. g. R for receptor or C for anatomical structure).
As URL for the linking append this ID to the detail page for this type of component.
For an hormone that would be:

http://endonet.bioinf.med.uni-goettingen.de/hormone/ENH00000

It is also possible to use the search of EndoNet to link to the right detail page. The URL should look like

http://endonet.bioinf.med.uni-goettingen.de/search/ENC00000
If the search pattern is unambigious the user is directed to the corresponding detail page.

Synonyms

  • CMKLR1
  • ChemR23
  • chemerinR
  • chemokine-like receptor 1
  • orphan G-protein coupled receptor, Dez
  • chemokine receptor-like 1

General information

  • Present on plasmacytoid dendritic cells and macrophages. [1]
  • Activation of chemerin receptor results in intracellular calcium release, inhibition of cAMP accumulation, and phosphorylation of p42-p44 MAP kinases, through the Gi class of heterotrimeric G proteins. [2]

    • Here we present the characterization of chemerin, a novel chemoattractant protein, which acts through ChemR23 (CMKLR1). [2]

Anatomical structures with this receptor

  • macrophage

    Induced phenotypes

    • chemotaxis of macrophages

    Induced phenotypes

    • dendritic cell chemotaxis
      • Human recombinant chemerin promoted in vitro migration of immature DCs whereas no chemotaxis of mature DCs was observed [2]
    • We have previously described ChemR23 as a human orphan G protein–coupled receptor expressed in macrophages and immature DCs [2]
  • endothelial_cell

    Induced phenotypes

  • chondrocyte

    Influences

    • positive interleukin 6
      • The results show an increased concentration of IL-6 as a result of chemerin stimulation in comparison to unstimulated control cells [5]
    • positive IL-8
      • The results show an increased concentration of IL-8 as a result of chemerin stimulation in comparison to unstimulated control cells [6]
