General information

  • CD45 is the prototypic member of transmembrane receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs) and has essential roles in immune functions. [2]
  • CD45 is a family of integral membrane tyrosine phosphatase expressed on cells of hemopoietic origin. [1]
  • Lymphocytes express predominantly higher MW isoforms (CD45RA), whereas the majority of thymocytes express the lowest MW structure (CD45RO). [1]
